Era pequeña y que mi madre me gritara desde otra habitación: "María, ¿dónde has puesto las tijeras de la cocina?", era algo habitual. ....

....Looking back, things always make sense, but for getting that conclusion many times you have to go around. These tours led me to discover different art areas like fine arts, design, drama and dance. All this helped me to forge my own aesthetic sensibility and build my personal way of understanding the world. Later and by chance I discovered the wonderful world of artistic jewelry. ..Echando la vista atrás las cosas siempre tienen sentido, pero para llegar a esa conclusión muchas veces hay que dar vueltas. Esas vueltas me llevaron a formarme en diferentes áreas del arte como el arte plástico, el diseño, el teatro y la danza. Todo esto me ayudó a forjar una sensibilidad estética propia y construir mi forma personal de entender el mundo. ....It often happens to me that it is the materials those who guide me to the form and I end up doing something that was not planned, but that is often more interesting than what was planned. Even, sometimes, I discover as finished pieces those to which, supposedly, they still lacked something. ..A menudo me pasa que son los materiales los que me llevan hasta la forma y acabo haciendo algo que no estaba previsto: generalmente es más interesante que lo que estaba planeado. Incluso, a veces, descubro como terminadas piezas a las que, supuestamente, todavía les faltaba algo. ....

....It refers to the story behind each piece and is also and invitation to the spectator to be part of the process. ..Hace referencia a la historia que hay detrás de cada pieza y es una invitación al espectador a formar parte del proceso. ....

....I understand design processes as an active research in a mature and playfully way, open to change and full of life. In the process of handcrafting, imperfect by nature, I highlight the impressions on the piece: those marks that begin as a dialogue with the materials and continue with you, giving the pieces a new story: that story which start as a misty smudge or a squiggle, go on with a craftsman's time and continue with your experience when you wear it. .. Entiendo los procesos de diseño como una forma de búsqueda activa, madura y lúdica, abierta al cambio y llena de vida. En la fabricación artesanal, imperfecta por naturaleza, pongo de relieve las impresiones sobre la pieza: esas marcas que comienzan en un diálogo con los materiales y que continúan contigo, que das a las piezas una historia nueva: esa historia que comienza como una imagen difusa o como un garabato, que sigue con el tiempo y las manos del artesano y que continúa con tu experiencia cuando las llevas puestas. ....

For this reason, I design and elaborate the pieces in my workshop in Madrid under an artistic point of view and trough different process, maintaining always the personal character of the artisan. ..La creación de las piezas es como un diálogo con los materiales.
